Midnight Organ Fight
Do the twist in the twisting outfit
The loose tie with, the loose limp wrists
Lift your dress enough to show me those shins
Let your hair stick to your forehead
Did you blush then when our hips touched?
I can't tell, you're already red
Am i right? you give me the signs
Is that pink mist or just lit dry ice
You twist and whisper the wrong name
I don't care nor do my ears
Twist yourself around me
I need company I need human heat
I need human heat
Lets pretend I'm attractive and then
You won't mind, you can twist for a while
It's the night, I can be who you like
And I'll quietly leave before it gets light
So twist and whisper the wrong name
I don't care nor do my ears
Twist yourself around me
I need company i need human heat
I need human heat
I need human heat
(extrasupervery extrasupervery...)
I need human heat
I need human heat
I need--
Twist and whisper the right name
I'm david, please
Twist as if you're just like me
You need company, you need human heat
You need human heat

Ahhhhh yeeeeeeah.
Alright, I am COMPLETELY in love with this.
The only downsides are the fact that your mix tapes can only be 12 songs long AND you cannot have multiple mix tapes.
Either way, this is great and I'll alert my one reader whenever I make a new mix tape.
Check it:

And I'll put a link to it in the sidebar.

A canvas only paint could change
I just have not been in an updating mood. Not much has happened, but I would certainly include all of the boring things, IF I wanted to update... which I don't... so why am I?
My birthday is in 13 days.
My sister's birthday is in 4.
And so on.
Despite not being up to write about EVERYTHING that has been going on, I'll cover one area of my life... my new fetish, if you will: books.
I get off just thinking about reading some more before I shut my eyes for sleep tonight.
It's coming in second to my music life right now, which I feel like shit for admitting. Oh man. That's almost sad.
It's not like I've read a shit load of books this year, either. Just lately, it's been buy a book, read it, pick up another, read it, another, etc. There are a couple that I've started and then left behind for later as well.
BUT, since I want to at least try to keep up with the books I am reading this year, I'll post the list on here so I have it.
1. Girl With a Pearl Earring
This was the book that I chose to read with my group in Comp II class in January, but I enjoyed it nonetheless
2.Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging (Book 1)
3.On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God (Book 2)
4. Knocked Out by My Nunga-Nungas (Book 3)
5. Dancing In My Nuddy Pants (Book 4)
6. Away Laughing on a Fast Camel (Book 5)
7. Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers (Book 6)
8. Startled by His Furry Shorts (Book 7)
9. Love is a Many Trousered Thing (Book 8)
2-9 are books in the Georgia Nicolson series that I just began this year. I'll be reading book 9 as soon as it comes out next week!!!
10. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
11. High Fidelity
12. Youth in Revolt (just started this today when it came in the mail)
So yeah, crummy list so far and I think that I included everything. I actually got well into Lady Chatterley's Lover before starting Nick and Norah, but ah well. I'll finish that eventually.
Oh, and no it is not a coincidence that I am reading/have read two books this year that are being made into films that Michael Cera will be staring in.
BUT HEY:
This week is going to be pretty alright (minus the 3 nights that I have to work)
Wednesday I'm skipping class to attend a birthday dinner with my family and my sister's best friend's family (her friend's mom and my sis have the same birthday, and we're all really close, etc.).
Saturday. Since most of my sister's friend cannot come to her birthday party, therefore forcing her to reschedule, I'm taking her and her best friend to Pensacola for what I'm hoping will turn into a fun-filled day of exploring (and getting lost in, without a doubt) the city. I need to find some record stores to explore while we're there.
I have no idea how those 2 events have me so sure that this week will be alright, but they do.
I must go and read and then sleeep and wake up at 8:45AM to take my sister to band practice. Joy unbound!

As if you didn't know it would sting, kissing the beehive.
I solved everything last night by running away to Destin to Barnes and Noble on a mission to purchase a new book.
So far, it's great and unfortunately somewhat romantic.
THEN I ordered a book from Amazon when I got home so hopefully that will get here by the time I'm done with this book.
I just need books and music surrounding myself and my stupid, stupid, pathetic heart.
I also went into full John Cusack-in-almost-every-movie-he's-in mode and placed my camera (while it was recording and I was driving) by my lips and started to talk. About everything, as if I were a detective, whispering facts and suspicions into my recordable tape player. I don't know if I have the heart to go back and listen to these videos that film only the road from the driver's seat and have my sniffling, stuttering mess recorded for nearly 6 minutes.
Oh yeah... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Do it do it do it do it do it do it do it now

June 2007
June 2008 (about 15 minutes ago)
It's late and I'm feeling whiny. That, and I could talk about my hair for days.
I also miss the days before the nose piercing. My nose has been sooo itchy and just full of crap lately and I've been threatening to yank my damn piercing out. Or, you know, just unscrew the ball and gently remove it.
I finally have charts on my Last.fm again! They're incredibly pathetic and I'm still missing my 3,000 something plays of The Decemberists, but I'll work with this (aka: nothing).
I wasn't going to do a full entry, but I guess I've started, so...
Work was horrendous last night. HORRENDOUS. The store was wrecked by closing time and we spent the previous 4 hours trying to put away shipment, so straightening up was pushed back. The second I pulled the gate down, I almost started to cry. I hate that feeling of "Fuck, I only have an hour to fold EVERYTHING as well as sweep, etc." I hate being rushed and pressured, so I just about freaked out.
Tomorrow (oh, TODAY) should be AHMAYZING. It shall consist of a water balloon fight, (possibly) go karts and all that jazz, and whatever else. Honestly, I am too psyched for the water balloon fight that I forgot the rest of the activities. OH YEAH, and we're all going to see The Happening at night. Looks crazy weird.
WHICH REMINDS ME!
Things to do before Sharon's party today (FRIDAY THE 13TH, OOOOOOO):
(In order-ish)
SHAVE MY LEGS (please)
Do laundry
Get paycheck
Go to bank
Stop by the store to get Sharon's goofy other part of her gift
Put gas in my car (No biggie, it's only 4 FUCKING DOLLARS a gallon...)
And I'm sure that I'm missing something.
It's 2:58AM and I need to be up by 10 or 11. You would think that that would be obtainable, but I beg to differ. Sleep schedules do not exist for me... especially during the shitty season of Summer.

Mornin'
It's 7:35 AM and I'm about to go to sleep.
I have had the most amazing morning.
For some time now, Taryn and I have been planning to go watch the sunrise one morning and at around 11PM yesterday, we convinced our parents to let us do that today. So Taryn, Courtney, and I stayed up until 5AM and then I passed out. I told the girls that I just could not stay awake and that driving would be stupid of me.
After lying in bed and getting completely comfortable, I shot up, went into Taryn's room and told them to get up after they had nearly fallen asleep as well.
I threw on some clothes and we headed to the beach.
It.was.amazing. And I took a million breathtaking pictures.
We parked in some random parking lot and walked across a shit load of rumble, broken fences until we got to some tattered docks and took it all in.
Then we went across the street to the actual beach and I cannot even describe how amazing the sand felt beneath my feet. It had rained at about 4:AM so the sand was cool and perfect.
It was perfect.
Then we got some of the most amazing Mcdonalds breakfast that I have ever had.
Pictures to come

Never forget, ever
It was either delete all of my Last.FM history from the past 2 years or make an entirely new account.
I chose the latter and I doubt that I'll even stick with it.
Starting over is just difficult.
EDIT:
I just deleted my whole history instead of going on with the new account and I am freaking.out.

A great wind more ash
I love when the rhythm completely takes control and I have to move like I've been possessed by some unknown (but beautiful) force.
I love shutting my eyes as I sing along with everyone else in the audience
I love my sister and Sharon
I love Arizona Fruit Punch
I love that odd smell on skin after a disgustingly hot show
I love brown shirts with red lettering
I love my car and having wiper fluid
I love the stories we share and the stupid jokes we tell on the hour long drive home
I love how Taryn falls asleep with her mouth open and her head throw back on the seat
I love this song
I love it all
All in all, the show tonight was so so so great.
And I'm still taking cloud pictures everday.
Maybe I'll make a picture entry later on today after sleep and 4 hours of work.

Love was made like a ship at bay, never to see waves. We'll probably all crash anyway.
The moment that I think my breath has been taken completely away from me, I turn on another song and I realize how wrong I was.
I hope life is always filled with these late night moments of music and goosebumps and breathlessness.

Oh, I'm a sap
This is the first picture ever taken of my sister. That photo will be 14 years old in 22 days. Today was my sister's last day of middle school. I remember running into the delivery room the moment I heard her crying and standing over here while the doctor did the lovely task of cleaning her off. It's so hard to grow up as it is, but I'm finding that it's even harder to watch a sibling grow up. Bleh, I just love her so much and I cannot believe that she'll be starting high school this year and then those 4 years will go by in a flash like mine did.
I suppose this entry is pointless, but I really love this girl with everything I have in me. I hope that no matter where time takes us, we will keep our amazing closeness and our ability to talk in our "twin speak."
I love you, Taryn.
*PS; I just realized how jumpy and rushed this post ended up being. Sorry.

Despite my empty mouth the words are in my mind
Funny story (if only to me).
I wore one of my favorite pairs of panties today. Some people choose their "sexy" knickers as their faves, but I go for the ones that are cute, but more or less worn out and should probably be retired seeing as they no longer fit properly.
See also; they fell below my ass as I was walking out of class tonight.
I was wearing a skirt and they were just not in the mood for staying up, protecting their assigned body parts, and then I felt quite a drift hitting my bum as I stepped outside.
I think I started to pray, which is even more hilarious. I could feel them slipping further and the last thing that I wanted on my extra long walk to my car was to arrive there with my panties around my ankles.
I looked around and quickly lifted them back up as much as I could. Unfortunately most of my skirt came with them, so I dived into my car.
And I think that I'm about to get into it with the "friend" that I wrote about in here the other day. My stomach is in my throat (I'll take pictures. It's quite a site).

Singing "Hey, na na na na na na."
I do not want to hear a single word. But for a solid month, my sister and I had been obsessing over this movie. I cannot count the amount of times we have watched every single available trailer, or how much time we have spent searching every possible thing that we could find online.
I present to you... The Strangers:
I immediately hate myself for posting the trailer on my blog, for I am now forced to see the image that it is left on each time I view my page.
Before you give me any shit, (which I have already made clear, I do not want to hear) do know that I am a complete baby. I do not watch horror films, and on the off chance that I do, they haunt me for the rest of my life.
Yesterday, the day after it opened in theatres, my dad, sister, and I attended the 1PM showing of this film (I was not about to see it at night anyway).
The month leading up to taking our seats in the theatre and gripping onto my sister's hand for an hour and a half, was ridiculous. I see the man in the mask whenever I step outside into the night, and I hear the "because you were home" tag line at least 10 times a day.
But, I am (somewhat) relieved after seeing this film. No matter how it has left me feeling, it was something that I just had to see and obsess over even more. It has ruined me (and not to mention, I cannot listen to "Sprout and the Bean" by Joanna Newsom anymore which is featured in the movie, as well as the enclosed preview).
To say the least, I was a ball of stress all last night whilst my sister and I were home, alone.
*And for the record, the actor who plays the man in the mask is completely gorgey porgey.
This week, however, will prove to be quite great (or so I'm hoping).
-At some point my mom, her friend, and I will be seeing the Sex and the City movie (finally).
-My parents' band is playing the Billy Bowleg's festival on Friday and I may or may not be playing the accordion part on "The Engine Driver" which yes, my parents' band does cover.
-Saturday is COLOUR REVOLT! It will be my 4th or 5th time seeing them and I am more than excited that despite all of the success they are having, they still come back to this shit hole (well, the shit hole an hour away).
-I may not be going to see Dignan on Thursday due to money troubles, buttttt... I'm starting to see that as being alright. At least I've seen them once.
-Taryn is having the ACE GANG stay the night Friday night. Yes, that includes me and 4 other girls who just so happen to be 13 and 14 years old (shut up).
-I have 3 shifts this week at work (which is better than 2!) and I plan to turn in an application this week at a place I will not speak of yet.
-I have work at 10AM tomorrow, so I'm thinking I shouldn't go to bed at 4AM. Actually, working at 10AM is not a plus side of the upcoming week.
BOOOOO, LAST.FM IS NOT RECORDING ANYTHING THAT I'M LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW. Bastards.
